Canada’s energy future is under threat.

Trump’s trade wars have exposed a terrifying reality: our access to energy and the prices we pay are in the hands of foreign powers.

It’s time to get stronger at home and take control of the energy that powers our communities.

Our current electricity system was never built to work for us. It was designed to send power from Canada to the U.S., while millions of Canadians struggle with high bills and unreliable service.

We have abundant, clean, and affordable energy right here in Canada. If we stop shipping the profits and control elsewhere, we can all benefit from it.

The solution is simple: connect Canada from coast-to-coast with an east-west power grid.

This would let provinces share energy with each other, instead of relying so heavily on foreign markets. When the wind is blowing in Alberta, it could help Ontario. When the wind dies down, BC’s hydroelectric dams could send power back to Alberta.

Politicians have been discussing this idea for years. Let’s add our voices to make it a reality and call on federal and provincial governments to:

  • Build an East-West power grid to connect Canada’s power together

  • Support the millions of Canadians struggling to access affordable electricity

Canada is a huge, beautiful country with endless natural resources. We shouldn’t be at the mercy of U.S. policies or foreign corporate interests.
